Six Events Where You Can Use Your Photo Booth Backdrop

Wednesday, January 24th  – Photo booths are, of course, hugely popular at a wide variety of events.  People love taking pictures of themselves and each other, and photo booths let them do just that – and without bonking each other with selfie sticks.  Photo booths can be made even more fun with the addition of a custom photo booth backdrop from Best Wedding Backdrops.  Rather than a plain white background, it can be anything you can imagine!

With a photo booth backdrop – or several – the fun factor of your photo booth can go way up.  Plus, there are all sorts of events surrounding your wedding where you can use a booth and backdrop to great effect.

So, don’t think that a booth backdrop is a one-time-only purchase.  It has quite a bit of reusability.

Six Events Where You Can Use Your Photo Booth Backdrop

  1. The Wedding Itself

We don’t see the craze for photo booths ending anytime soon, and they’re a great addition to weddings of all sizes.  Not only do they give the guests something fun to do throughout the festivities, they’re also great for keeping smaller kids occupied as well.  Your backdrop can tie into your overall theme, or you can vary it up with a selection to give your guests variety.

  1. Engagement Parties

Why wait for your wedding?  Engagement parties let you get a head start on the fun, and a photo booth/backdrop combo is just the thing to break the ice.  An “announcement” backdrop will help mark the occasion when it appears on so many guests’ pictures.

  1. The Bridal Shower

Showers are a bit more informal, so it’s a good way to let your guests have some fun and let their hair down.  Or, if you’ve been given clothes or jewelry at the shower, you can model them in the photo booth for some great easy social media posts.

  1. Bachelorette Party

Bachelorette parties are all about fun, and that’s exactly what a photo booth and backdrop will encourage!  Photo booths can be an excellent ice-breaker if you’re having trouble getting your guests to loosen up.

5 – The “Jack & Jill”

A new arrival on the wedding tradition scene, there are a lot of variations on the “Jack & Jill,” but they basically boil down to being a co-ed mixed shower and bachelor/ette party.  After all, that business about keeping the guys and girls separate before a wedding is dated.  Depending on the nature of your party, photo booths can be good clean fun for everyone involved…  or not-so-clean.

6 – Baby Shower

Finally, you could pull out the photo booth backdrop for an “encore” when it’s time for your baby shower.  And, again, it’s a great opportunity for social media pictures showing off all your great presents!

Why A Professionally-Made Wedding Ceremony Backdrop Is a Better Choice Than DIY

Thursday, January 18th  – When you’re planning a wedding on a budget, a smart planner is always going to look for opportunities to save a bit of money.  In general, having do-it-yourself decorations can be a way to cut down on your decorating costs…  but sometimes it really is best to pay for professional work – such as ordering a wedding ceremony backdrop from Best Wedding Backdrops!

Sometimes clients will ask us why they can’t just make the backdrop themselves, and while it’s technically true that they can, there are still a lot of reasons why a professional job is a better idea.

Four Reasons to Avoid Going DIY With Your Wedding Ceremony Backdrop

  1. It’s a lot of work.

Seriously, we do this for a living.  Making a small sign for yourself is one thing, but a wedding ceremony backdrop is going to be at least 8’x8′.  And if you want a full head table backdrop, those can go up to 32 feet or potentially wider!  Trying to create even a small backdrop for yourself would likely take days, and you’ve got much better things to do with your time.

  1. Custom printing makes it look great.

Another issue when dealing with a piece of decor that big is the problem of printing.  No one has facilities in their home for printing out something that’s several feet wide.  So, you’d have to decorate it all by hand.  However, when you choose a professional shop like Best Wedding Backdrops, we have computer-controlled large-scale printers designed specifically for creating huge pieces!  Plus, the resulting images are seamless, super-high resolution, and have eye-popping colors too.

  1. Build quality matters.

Another thing people often don’t realize when they try to make their own backdrop is that creating a project so large and relatively heavy involves overcoming some real engineering challenges.  If it’s not properly secured, it could easily tip over during the ceremony – potentially onto you or your guests.  Or, pieces of it could break off, which would be extremely embarrassing.

  1. It’s going to be one of the centerpieces of your wedding.

A wedding ceremony backdrop is always a photographic centerpiece of a wedding.  Do you want the background for so many of your wedding photos to look anything less than perfect?  When done up properly, a wedding backdrop can be the perfect “frame” to show off your wedding dress, or how you look as a couple.  But if it doesn’t look good on film, that’s going to detract heavily from the pictures.

And after all, the pictures are what will last from your wedding – for years or even decades.  Cut corners on stuff that won’t be photographed.

How to Customize Rented Wedding Walls and Backdrops

Wednesday, January 10th   – When people are looking to dress up their wedding walls and otherwise create great impressions for their visitors, wedding backdrops are a popular option.  Now, ordering a custom-made backdrop from a company like Best Wedding Backdrops can be a bit outside of many smaller weddings’ budget, but there is an alternative – rentals.

Rented wedding walls can be a perfect compromise.  With plenty of options to choose from, there’s a rental backdrop for nearly any occasion – and they only cost a fraction of what original custom work would.  Better yet, if you’re careful not to damage the rental, there are plenty of ways you can further dress up these wedding walls to make them more personalized.

Here are a few ideas.

Five Ways to Customize a Rented Wedding Backdrop

  1. Add signs surrounding the backdrop

Signs are a great accessory for weddings since they can serve multiple purposes at once.  They might be informative, or they might just be there for decoration, but either way, they can carry through your design and ideas and color choices.  A few signs around the backdrop will enhance it, and possibly make your wedding or reception easier to navigate as well.

  1. Put it in lights

Strings of lights are cheap, easy to set up, and always add some pizzazz to a wedding.  Granted, they probably aren’t well-suited for a low-key wedding, but in almost any other setting, they’re instantly eye-grabbing and distinctive.  Stringing lights on or around the backdrop will quickly make it look unique.

  1. Flowers!

Flowers are one of the oldest and most traditional of wedding decorations, and they can be added to everything – including your backdrop.   Some backdrops already have a floral motif, so adding some real flowers will only make it pop more – and with no risk of damaging the rental.  You could also do the same with leaves and other natural elements.

  1. Props and other smaller custom pieces

Another way to dress up your backdrop, while also making it more three-dimensional, is adding props around it.  For example, with the “vintage frames” backdrop, the addition of some real-life frames will really help sell the image.  Get creative!  As long as the props fit the theme, almost anything will work.

  1. Posters or pictures

If you’re careful, you can even add your own pictures or posters to the backdrop.  Just be sure to use “poster putty” style sticky products which won’t leave a residue or otherwise damage the surface your pictures are being attached to.  Avoid tape or glue.

Great Ideas for A New Year’s Head Table Backdrop for Your Wedding

Thursday, January 4th, If you’re planning a wedding for early January, there are a lot of potential themes you could give it – but a New Year’s theme would be a great choice!  After all, New Year’s celebrations are about rebirth and renewal, so they fit in perfectly with a ceremony which is all about the rebirth of your own new life.  Plus, two-in-one celebrations can be extra fun, thanks to the extra possibilities they add.  And there’s no better way to really emphasize the New Year at your wedding than with a massive head table backdrop from Best Wedding Backdrops!

A head table backdrop can easily be the centerpiece of your reception or wedding.  It’s designed to run the full length of a head table, measuring sixteen feet wide or longer.  Basically, these backdrops are intended to entirely replace a back wall, or even potentially serve as a dividing wall in a larger space.  In the meantime, it’s also a huge artistic statement, and a great way to unify the theme of your wedding.

Ordering a custom head table backdrop also brings you plenty of possibilities for focusing on the New Year in your wedding!

Four Great Ideas for New Year’s Themed Head Table Backdrops

  1. Confetti and Streamers

Everyone loves confetti and streamers at this time of year, and they look great on a wedding backdrop – particularly when they’re contrasted against a dark background.  It makes the colors in them truly pop, as well as ensuring there’s a background in place which will make the bride stand out well.  You could even enhance your backdrop with real confetti, streamers, and glitter to make it even more festive.

  1. 2018 Themes

2018 is coming, so why not make it one of the main messages of your wedding?  A huge 2018 in gold and silver would mark the special occasion, as well as emphasizing the time and place of your wedding.  Or, make it a step-and-repeat backdrop, which is less expensive to produce.

  1. New Year’s Resolutions

Since you can print anything at all on a custom-made backdrop, you can make it super-personalized.  A set of New Year’s resolutions focused on your marriage would be a great way of telling everyone present what your wedding is really about, as well as giving you a reminder in the years ahead of your plans and dreams.  You could even leave some space blank and invite your visitors to add their own suggested resolutions!

  1. Champagne and Bubbles

Champagne is another ritual that’s associated with both weddings and New Year’s, so it’s a great “twofer” design.  Plus, bubbles always look great on a backdrop and make for a visually interesting presentation.  A champagne-themed head table backdrop can be both classic and exciting.
